Hummingbird
Hummingbird is Edith Marlowe at her most delicate. A hummingbird hovers at a spray of trumpet flowers and curling vines, its iridescent wings cut from shimmering emerald and ruby glass, every petal and feather outlined in fine black lead. Marlowe lets light flood through the panels so the tiny bird and blossoms glow with jewel-like intensity. The composition keeps an elegant Art-Nouveau flow, the vines framing the bird in graceful arcs. Bright, intricate and full of life, it captures a fleeting moment of nature and holds it forever in radiant glass — proof that Vitral Luminism can whisper as beautifully as it can blaze.
An original oil painting on canvas by Edith Marlowe, painted to order — never a reproduction. Radiant stained-glass artworks — translucent jewel-toned glass in bold leaded lines, glowing as if lit by sunlight; nature, birds and celestial motifs.
