Playground
Playground is Juno Pike at her most freewheeling. A cheerful jumble of circles, squares and wavy connecting shapes in lime, orange, blue and yellow fills the canvas, some discs dotted, some panels striped, all packed together with thick black outlines. Pike lets the forms tangle and overlap like climbing-frames and roundabouts, the eye scrambling happily from one bright shape to the next. The result is busy but never chaotic, every colour and curve carefully balanced.
