Liquid Peaks
Liquid Peaks turns a mountain range to liquid. Kaia Sterling renders ridgelines and valleys as glossy marbled ribbons — blues, violets and snow-white braiding down the slopes like paint poured over stone — beneath a smooth pastel gradient sky. The Liquid Horizons technique fuses fluid-art pouring with op-art rhythm, the mountains' folds becoming dozens of parallel flowing lines, hypnotic and precise, yet still legible as peaks and crests. The cool palette and white-foam highlights give the range a glacial, electric shimmer. Sterling holds the tension between landscape and abstraction perfectly: we read mountains, but everything flows. Vivid, glossy and mesmerising, it makes solid rock ripple like water. It is the sublime mountain dissolved into pure liquid colour — geology poured and set in motion.
An original oil painting on canvas by Kaia Sterling, painted to order — never a reproduction. Landscapes dissolved into flowing marbled paint — glossy ribbons of saturated colour, op-art rhythm and liquid horizons.
