Grid Runner
Grid Runner is velocity made visible. A neon lattice of magenta and cyan surges from the foreground toward a single banded sun, the one-point perspective so aggressive that the static image seems to move. This is the founding landscape of retro-futurism — the endless digital plane of the early arcade racer — and Reyes renders it with the clarity of hard-edge abstraction, every line a clean filament of light against the black. There is no destination, only the rush toward the glowing horizon: a fitting metaphor for a culture forever accelerating into its own imagined future. Hung large, it lends a wall real kinetic charge, the optical pull of a road that never ends.
An original oil painting on canvas by Nova Reyes, painted to order — never a reproduction. Retro-futurist vaporwave — neon gradients, perspective grids, chrome and synthwave sunsets in electric magenta, cyan and purple.
