Glitch Bloom
Glitch Bloom sets organic beauty against digital decay. A bouquet of neon roses opens at the centre, only to fracture at its edges into displaced pixels, channel-split colour and torn scanlines — the visual vocabulary of corrupted data. Reyes exploits the friction between the two registers: the tender, almost Baroque sensuality of the flower and the cold violence of the glitch consuming it. It is a vanitas for the screen age, bloom and corruption captured in the same luminous instant, magenta and cyan vibrating against a midnight ground. Strange, elegant and faintly unsettling, the work asks whether an image can survive its own breakdown — and finds a peculiar beauty in the failure.
An original oil painting on canvas by Nova Reyes, painted to order — never a reproduction. Retro-futurist vaporwave — neon gradients, perspective grids, chrome and synthwave sunsets in electric magenta, cyan and purple.
