Pine Nocturne
Pine Nocturne is Soren Aalto at his most atmospheric. Rolling forested hills recede in layered bands of deep blue and teal, each ridge seamed with gold and crowned with rows of tiny pine-tree silhouettes, beneath a pale moon and a generous scatter of golden stars. Aalto's paper-cut layering builds a gentle sense of depth, the little pines lending intimacy to the vast night. The warm gold seams glow against the cool forest blues like trails of moonlight. Serene, evocative and beautifully composed, it captures the hush of wooded hills under a starlit sky — Gilded Strata at its most lyrical.
