Dune Nocturne
Dune Nocturne is Soren Aalto at his most minimal and vast. Endless rolling sand dunes sweep across the canvas as smooth layered bands of deep blue, their crests traced with gold leaf, beneath a vast navy sky made dense with hundreds of tiny golden stars and a pale rising moon. Aalto strips the scene to pure undulating form, letting the gold crests and the glittering sky carry all the drama.
