Symphony of the Deep

In ‘Symphony of the Deep’, Voss submerges a grand piano within a sunlit coral reef, where sea creatures are depicted playing its keys, all articulated through Filigree Vectorism. The piano’s sleek silhouette is rendered with a series of precise, linear vectors that outline its polished veneer, while intricate filigreed details hint at the instrument’s interior mechanics. Sunlight filters through the water in layered gradients, creating shafts of luminous amber that illuminate the coral structures, each branch and polyps rendered as delicate, lace‑like vectors. The marine performers—fish, octopuses and crustaceans—are stylised with fluid, curvilinear strokes that contrast with the piano’s rigid geometry, emphasizing the union of organic and manufactured forms. Voss’s colour palette blends warm coral pinks, turquoise blues and muted golds, producing a harmonious balance between the serene underwater environment and the resonant presence of the instrument.
