Heron in the Reeds

Heron in the Reeds is Mirabel Crane at her most serene. An elegant heron stands among curling reeds and lotus, its long neck and plumage drawn in intricate flowing linework, one slender leg lifted from the water. Crane frames the bird with symmetrical damask flourishes and a radiant sun on a soft blue-to-green gradient above gentle waves. The whole composition has the poised stillness of a bird waiting at the water's edge, every curling reed echoing the heron's grace. Calm, refined and beautifully symmetrical, it distils a quiet moment of wetland stillness into an exquisite art-nouveau panel.

An original oil painting on canvas by Mirabel Crane, painted to order — never a reproduction. Ornate art-nouveau decorative art — a single subject in intricate swirling linework framed by damask flourishes and radiant suns, on soft gradient grounds.
