Golden Spill

A cracked porcelain teacup, delicate as a moth’s wing, tilts forward, allowing a river of molten gold to cascade outward in a seamless flow. The liquid metal spreads across an infinite expanse of sand dunes, each grain alight with the soft amber of sunrise, turning the barren landscape into a shimmering sea of gilded light. The teacup’s fracture, a subtle fissure, becomes a portal through which the gold pours, suggesting a threshold between the fragile world of porcelain and the vast, unbounded horizon.
