Brass Carousel Nocturne

Brass Carousel Nocturne

Under a moonlit canopy, a forgotten carnival carousel turns slowly, its horses fashioned from polished brass that catch and reflect the soft lunar light. The brass surfaces, warm with a faint patina, emit a gentle golden sheen that radiates outward, forming an invisible dome of light where constellations align to mirror the carousel’s own circular motion. The riders, imagined as silhouettes, seem to glide through a night where the stars themselves have been reshaped into a golden canopy, each twinkling point a reminder of the carousel’s lingering enchantment. This liminal tableau blurs the boundary between the tangible, rust‑kissed metal of the horses and the ethereal, celestial sphere above, uniting them in an auric resonance that feels both nostalgic and timeless. The moon’s silver light mingles with the brass’s amber glow, creating a delicate balance that suggests the carousel exists in a suspended moment between memory and dream, where the golden aura of forgotten joy lingers like a quiet hymn.

An original oil painting on canvas by Celia Vireaux, painted to order — never a reproduction. A movement that explores the threshold between material and metaphysical light, merging alchemical gold tones with liminal spaces and delicate translucency.
