A quiet Provençal lane at twilight, just after the rain. Two villagers sit at the wooden table of a small café under a yellow-and-green striped awning; warm gaslight pools on the wet cobblestones; a turbulent cirrus sky in violet, cobalt and chrome yellow recedes toward distant blue mountains.
